"Salvaging"  what some would call "junk" and "re-purposing old stuff"  has been a long time passion of mine.  When others see a piece of furniture beyond help...  I see a "before and after"  waiting to happen.

 

Scouring estate sales, antique flea markets, garage sales,  basements and attics,  I look for only the most interesting pieces with lots of detail and charm.  Old airmoires become kitchen storage units or linen cabinets... petite servers become bars,  old hutches become bathroom cabinets.....  doors get removed...shelves get installed... paint gets applied,  glazes get added.... small tables get beaded fringe.... furniture tops get covered with carefully broken pieces of vintage china.......and there you have it!!!  A piece from the past that works perfectly in the present!!
